Bright Old Sparks are a range of quiz and puzzle books produced monthly for carers of loved ones with conditions of old age such as dementia, Alzheimer’s and associated illnesses.
Bright Old Sparks was born in 2020, when life became very different for everyone.
The puzzles and quizzes are designed to entertain, share, involve, and enjoy together, individually or in a group setting but primarily to have FUN with and stimulate memories that may have got lost in the passages of time.
Bright Old Sparks puzzles and quizzes are suitable for the whole family and community to enjoy and involve from the very old to the very young.
They make great presents for people with dementia to enjoy at anytime or for special occasions like Birthdays, Christmas. We also have a subscription service for monthly delivery of Bright Old Sparks.
Produced monthly, each month has a different theme. We all have many different pasts and interests, we have all had different hobbies and of course jobs that made us the people we are today.

The contents are all custom-designed with reference to our many years of clinical skills and personal experience.
Uniquely the pages include amusing conversational starter hints to help restart ‘stalled’ conversations and rediscover memories to share and have a giggle. These chats often provide the most surprising and memorable moments in ongoing conversations.
Puzzles within the books are graded easy, medium and hard, and are designed to work at many levels. Our experience shows that as some days are better than other days, revisiting a puzzle may have a different result.
The puzzles are familiar and varied and include wordsearch, crosswords, picture puzzles, number games, mazes, spot the difference, sudoku, colouring pages and many more — something for everyone.
